MontGras, along with 5 other wineries from the Colchagua Valley, founded the Colchagua Valley Wine Route (Ruta del Vino del Valle de Colchagua) in 1996 to foment wine-tourism through the wineries.

In 1999, under MontGras' initiative, Viñas de Colchagua S.A (Colchagua Valley Vintners Association S.A., www.colchaguavalley.cl) was created. This is first regional association of wineries formed to promote and diffuse the Denomination of Origin "Colchagua Valley", Chile's premiere red winemaking region.

Today, along with 18 of the best wineries in the valley, it works to develop tourism and promote the region as the leading premium wine producer.

In 2005, the prestigious Wine Enthusiast magazine awarded Colchagua with Best Winemaking Region of the Year. Previously, Business Traveller magazine named Colchagua among the 25 best destinations in the world to visit.
